I am one of those people with many talents... Useless talents that is. Such as the talent of always saying the wrong thing, or making people laugh when I don't mean to!
But to be a little less modest I'm going to say that my talent that I am most proud of is my capability to play the saxophone! I've been playing for nearly 8 years now and although I'm perhaps not as advanced as someone should be after all that time I can bang out a tune if I want to! I love playing in bands and orchestra's, especially the Rock and Jazz Orchestra in Seaford! I am determined to one day get my grade 8 on the saxophone, when I have the time and resources!
So yes, that is my talent... and here is a photograph of my very very sexy saxophone just to prove it!

Day 26 (Favourite Books)
Books book books! I love books! And I definitely have my favourites so I'll give you a quick breakdown here (in no particular order):
The ForestWife is a beautiful adaptation of the story of Robin Hood. Its a realistic perspective into the life of the women of the story (such as Maid Marion) and although based towards younger audiences I could read this book over and over again.
My A-level English teacher recommended I read this book and I actually ended up writing my final essay on it. Its a wonderful story about a young girl living in Nazi Germany who late in life learns to read and then can't get enough of it! Its narrated by Death with an insightful view of what it was like to live in Nazi Germany at the time. I really recommend anyone to read this wonderful book.
I love Little Women! Its just a beautiful book.
I'm sure I don't need to put a description of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy on here, but I love these books. To create such an imaginative and full world is just incredible to me.
Again, Harry Potter needs no description... but I've grown up with these books and have always indulged myself in the wonderful world of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
A few more books I at least feel the need to mention:

Day 25 (A letter to someone you judged by first impression)
Dear you,
When I first saw you I have to admit that I judged you. I thought you were a chav and would be difficult to get along with...
But this impression changed really quickly; turns out you are a very intelligent and lovely person and I feel terrible for my first judgements. I try not to judge people before I get to know them, and I'm sorry for this...

Day 23 (Share one of your favourite current tunes)
Hmmmm!! This isn't so easy, but I've chosen a song which perhaps isn't so current... but I just love it and its been my ringtone for a long time now! Great tune to have a boogie to.

Day 22 (A photo that makes you happy)
Oh wow! This is a difficult one because there are SO many photos that make me happy. I picked this particular one because its not recent but it still puts a big smile on my face and I always remember this day.
This is my A-level drama group on the day of our final performance. As you do when over-rehearsing something we got fed up and bored and so when our teacher left the room we decided to raid the costume cupboard. We found so many hilarious outfits and were just randomly mucking about. This photo always makes me smile because we were just such a damn good group!!! :)

Day 21 (Your favourite television programme)
There are a lot of good t.v. programmes out there!! And a lot that have been on and a lot more hopefully to come. At the moment though my favourite has to be Ugly Betty, purely for the drama and comedy!
In general though I love period dramas and such like. Downton Abbey is on at the moment and a really great programme... Larkrise to Candleford has to be an all time favourite!! And Lost in Austen was a fantastic mini-series.
I'm also a bit of a sucker for some of the reality shows. I love Britain's/America's Next Top Model. I do like Xfactor and Strictly but I don't watch it religiously... if I miss an episode it doesn't worry me!
Oh. And... I love Glee. If you hate me for it, I don't care. I love Glee!!
And with that I'll leave you with a short clip:

Day 20 (A letter to someone who changed your life)
Dear Gilly,
I truly don't know where my life would be without you. You came to our family in a time of need and you have stuck with us and braved the storms of the hardest possible times of our lives; for this I could never thank you enough. Without you I don't know who I would be or where I would be, what I would be doing or how I ever would have coped... and I'd probably still be eating sausages and nothing without breadcrumbs on it!! I know I don't always seem grateful, but I truly am.
I will never forget the day I first met you. We were at that Castle and Dad was trying to force me to go into the tunnels which I was terrified of!! Even though you'd never been down there and wanted to go you stayed out with me and we played I-spy... I think this set our whole relationship from then on, if I've ever been scared or needed help you have been there for me, and I know that you always will be.
There is so much more to say, but I just wanted you to know that you really have changed my life for the better, and I am eternally grateful. I love you so much, thank you for being wonderful,
Ida

Day 19 (Whatever tickles your fancy)
This is my sister, Frankie, with my Dad and Grandma on her Graduation day (yesterday in fact). I wanted to put this up because I am so proud of her and I think this is a beautiful photograph. I love all my family so much and Frankie is the bestest sister in the whole world. Apparently she also got an award for her dissertation, but I havn't had a chance to talk to her properly about it so I don't know what that entails... but yeah, this is what "tickles [my] fancy" today! Love you sis!!

Day 18 (Set or share a goal)
Weeeelll!! There are a lot of things that I wanna achieve... I want to finish University with a good degree, get a decent job bla bla bla...
But my goal I'm going to set on here is to make it to Camp America this year! Its my last chance really to do it and everyone I know who has done it has had amazing experiences. It will be so amazing so, yeah! I'm going to do it! :)

Day 17 (A photo that makes you sad)
Aww, this one is actually quite difficult... I had to look through my photo albums to find something but here we go:
This is Monty. There are many animals I have owned that have passed away, and of course looking at their pictures makes me sad... but Monty lost his life unfairly. He was only young and got hit by a car. He was a lovely cat and I was beginning to build a great bond with him (he started sleeping in my room etc). He had a great personality and was such a big boy! I loved this cat to bits and think its so unfair that his life got taken in the way it did :(

Day 16 (Top 5 Celebrity Crushes)
Hmmm!! I will have to have a bit of a think about this one! Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of celebrities that are really gorgeous and I wouldn't say "No" to... But I'm just not a big "follower" of celebs... Never really been one to fall in love with a celebrity apart from perhaps a few:
Number one will have to be Gethin Jones. Lets face it, he's gorgeous, athletic and has a lovely personality. AND I wouldn't have to change my last name if I married him! There were lots of pictures of him topless because he has a ripping body... but I chose this one because I don't love him for his body, oh no, I love him for him.
Number 2: Continuing from yesterdays theme of 'Prince Charming', I think Eric from The Little Mermaid is my perfect man! Yes, yes, okay he's a cartoon! But look at him! He is just lovely.
Number 3: Jake Gyllenhaal... need I say more??
Number 4: I know more than half the people looking at this and groan and say "Oh Ida...Twilight?!" But yes. I love the character of Jacob Black. He is just lovely and kind and I would always appreciate a man like him! It goes without saying that he has a great body, but read his personality and you know you'd be happy for me if I found a bloke like him!
Number 5: You might be surprised to see Patrick Swayze in my top 5 celebrity crushes! And to be honest it was a bit of a surprise to me when he popped into my head. But in his prime Patrick was gorgeous and watching him in 'Ghost' and 'Dirty Dancing' makes my heart-a-flutter. Perhaps I love his characters.. but that goes for most of my crushes on here... What does that say about me? Can I not fall in love with REAL people, but only fictitious? Oh to be a Disney Princess...

Day 15 (A letter to someone you wish you could meet)
Dear Prince Charming,
I'm an avid fan, I've seen all your movies including Snow White, Cinderella and your cameo rolls in such films as The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. I especially liked you in Enchanted because I felt I could really perhaps meet you one day in flesh. Anyway, getting down to the point... You're hot, you're charming and you are my perfect man... so where the heck are you?!
Yours forever,
Ida-May Jones

Day 14 (A song from your childhood
This might seem a strange selection as its not a song I ever really listened to... but my mum used to sing it to myself and my siblings when we went to bed at night and would change the lyrics to have our names in it, "Gregory at the engine, Frankie rings the bell, Ida swings the lantern to show that all is well"... I'm actually really glad that I found this because I've not heard it since I was a child and has brought a flood of emotions to me. Its just something that has always stuck with me and I have a very strong attachment to it! :)

Day 13 (Whatever tickles your fancy)
I'm feeling very tired right now... so this is what tickles my fancy! Sleeeeep is good. 8 hours a night recommended. Did you know that you sleep in 4 hour slots? So its actually better to wake up after 4 hours of sleep than say 6... Weirrrd...
Day 12 (A self-portrait)
Righto! Sorry guys, bit of a fail but this is yesterdays post which I didn't get around to! Self portrait... Well I was gonna draw up something but it just wasn't working out, so then I remembered that I did this little cartoon thing of myself a couple of years ago so I'll just use that! This is actually pretty scary, I know... my drawing talents aren't exactly fantastic and I believe in this one I drew over a picture of myself. But I think this picture sums me up pretty well...a bit of a weirdo in many ways! And I like that it has a pink background. I like pink, its a happy colour! So here you go, a self-portrait of Ida-May Jones..

Day 11 (Share your favourite recipe)
Okay! This wouldn't be difficult except for the fact that I share my Lemon Cheesecake recipe with no one!! Muhahaaa!!
So instead I'll do a recipe for a very nice Black Forest Victoria courtesy of my Gorgeous Cakes book!
Ingrediants
Cake:
Preheat oven to 170*C fan/190*C/gas mark 5 and butter a 20cm cake tin 9cm deep with a removable base. Put all the cake ingredients in a food processor and cream together. Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin, smoothing the surface and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Run a knife around the collar of the cake and leave it to cool.
Blend jam with the kirsch in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk the cream until it just started to form soft peaks, but take care not to let it stiffen into a buttery consistency or it will be difficult to spread. You can leave the cake on the base or remove it as you prefer.
Slit the cake into three layers with a bread knife, and spread the lower layer with half of the jam and half of the cream. Repeat with the next layer, using up most of the remaining jam, all the cream, and lay the top layer in place. Use the last of the jam in the bowl to glaze the top of the cake with a pastry brush, then scatter over the grated chocolate. The cake is best served freshly assembled, but it can also be chilled for up to a couple of days, in which case bring it back up to room temperature for 30-60 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!! :)

Day 5 (A letter to an ex)
Dear you-know-who-you-are...
Wow, what is there left to say? Its been a long time now and I guess I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you that I have no regrets. Our relationship had its ups, and it had its fair amount of downs, but overall I learnt so much and I think that I am a better person for it. In the end we both changed and became different people... and there was no way it would ever have lasted. I only wish that we could have been more mature about the situation, I still sincerely believe that had it ended differently we could have been fast friends.
I am doing well for myself now; I'm at University, as I'm sure you have realised, and I am studying Drama! A path I never anticipated going down but it is a choice I am very glad to have made. A new start in a new place is what I needed and has done so much for me. I hope you are doing well, I have heard that you are at University too which is no surprise, probably studying something very respectable. I hope you are enjoying yourself as much as I am!!
Well, here's to the past and on to a happy happy future! We had a good time and that I will never forget, I learnt a lot from our relationship and I will take this on in my life forever.
Ida
P.s. You still have that book I lent you dammit! I want it back!!

Okay! This is very much last minute and will probably be posted after midnight since I have one minute left to post! But it still counts because I havn't had a sleep inbetween!!
This is me as a bubba! I like this photo because I think I am very cute and innocent (not much changed must I say?!) :P I would be happy if my children look like this... or do I just sound vain? Well here we go though, me in a photo over 10 years ago :) Enjoy!

Day 1 (Introduce yourself, likes and dislikes)
Hi! I'm Ida-May but just call me Ida. I'm a student at Roehampton University and I'm studying Drama, Theatre and Performance with the aim (for now) to hopefully become a fantastic theatre director! I'm a happy bubbily person who loves being around people and being social, I use exclamation marks for everything and I'm a chocoholic!
Likes: Smiling, Chocolate, Disney, Family, Friends, Books, Movies, the Smell of Old Books, the Smell of Freshly Cut Grass, Sunshine, Walking in the Rain, Organisation, Theatre, Musicals, Dresses (especially summery ones), Purple (yaaaay I love being purple), Crying (because you need to every now and again), Online Shopping (I LOVE packages), my Housemates, Chocolate (again, because thats just how much I like it!), Living TV, E4, Ugly Betty, ANTM, Candles, Fluffly Blankets, Shaggy Carpet, Exclamation marks!, Imagination...
